Managing the contract between Clients and Sub-Contractors

When you create a Client or a Sub-Contractor, the system automatically creates a contract to formalize the Services, Equipment category, and Consumables rates. However, you may not always be able to edit the contract rates.

The contract can be managed by editing the rates, adding users to the Client or Sub-Contractor company, and switching environments to see the Client or Sub-Contractor side. These options depend on whether your Client or Sub-contractor is a subscriber. Click on the link below for more details.

  1. Managing the contract as a Client subscriber
  2. Managing your sponsored Client contract
  3. Managing the contract as a Sub-Contractor subscriber
  4. Managing your sponsored Sub-Contractor contract
  5. Managing your contract as a Main Contractor (Site owner)
  6. How do you add a new user to the Client or Sub-Contractor company?
  7. Managing the rates
  8. When will I be able to switch environments?

Permissions for editing rates depend on the environment and who owns the Site. If you want to know what you can and cannot edit, click the link below based on your situation.

For instance, if your Client sponsors you as a Sub-Contractor, click “Sub-Contractor Sponsored”.

Managing the contract as a Client subscriber

As a Client with a subscription, you can edit Equipment Categories and Consumables rates, but not Services rates.

Managing your sponsored Client contract

As a Client sponsored by a company, you cannot edit the contract.

Managing the contract as a Sub-Contractor subscriber

As a Sub-Contractor with a subscription, you have access to both Client and Sub-Contractor contracts.

  • On your Client contract page, you cannot edit the Equipment Categories and Consumables rate, but you can edit the Services rate (on the Sub-Contractor rate field) as you can see on the first screenshot below. If you as a Sub-contractor own the Site, you can edit the Services on the Client and Sub-Contractor rate fields, as you can see on the second screenshot below.
  • On your Sub-Contractor contract page, you can edit the Equipment Categories and Consumables rate, but you cannot edit the Service rate.

Managing your sponsored Sub-Contractor contract

As a Sub-Contractor sponsored by a company, you cannot edit the contract.

Managing your contract as a Main Contractor (Site owner)

Here are some of your options as the owner of the Sites.

  • On your Client contract page, if your Client is sponsored by you, you can edit everything such as Equipment Category, Consumables, and Services rate.
  • On your Client contract page, if your Client is a Yeti subscriber, you cannot edit the Equipment Category and Consumables. However, you can edit the Service rate in the Client and Sub-Contractor rate field.
  • On your Sub-Contractor contract page, you can edit the Equipment Category and Consumables, but you cannot edit the Service rate. In this case, there is no difference between a Sub-Contractor sponsor or subscriber.

How do you add a new user to the Client or Sub-Contractor company?

You can add a user if your Client or Sub-Contractor is not a subscriber. Adding a user to a contract will set the user as a Client role when editing the Client contract and as an Admin role when editing the Sub-Contractor contract.

Click on “Edit Contract”

Click on “Company + Contract”

Click on “Add User”

Enter the user information and click “save” then “save” again

As a client role, the user will have limited access as you can see below.

Managing the rates

When you create or add a Client or Sub-Contractor, the system creates a contract between your company and your Client or Sub-Contractor. By default, new contracts bring rates based on your Equipment category and Consumables page.

However, since the rates may vary depending on the agreement you made with your Client or Sub-Contractor, you can edit the contract and update the rates and it won’t affect other contracts.

A rate change on your Equipment or Consumables Category page will not have any impact on any contracts you have with Clients or Sub-Contractors.

Rate changes made on the Equipment or Consumables category page will only appear when a new Client or Sub-Contractor is created or added by Yeti Community.

When will I be able to switch environments?

The Switch environment allows you to view your Client or Sub-Contractor environment. It is only possible under one of the following conditions:

  1. If your company sponsors the Client or Sub-Contractor
  2. If you are also your Client’s or Sub-contractor’s user

Note: If you sponsor a company and cannot switch environments, it’s because another company sponsors the company, too. In this case, you should be registered as a user of this sponsored company.
